Maui Digital Imaging is proud to print Lyve Canvas reproductions for Kristin Bernardo. Art has been part of her life for as long as she can remember. She received her first award for her artwork at age seven, and at twelve she was accepted into the accelerated program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for creating, and for exploring the many ways art can tell a story.

Over the years she has worked in a variety of mediums, including oil, watercolor, pen & ink, and graphic design. She has also completed numerous portraits and commissioned works, finding particular meaning in creating artwork that captures a person, a place, or a memory. In 2007 she was honored to have a portrait selected for the Schaefer Portrait Challenge on Maui, an experience that further deepened her interest in portraiture and in the connection between artist and subject.

Today her work continues to evolve across mediums and subjects. She is especially drawn to landscapes, light, color, and the emotional connection we have to the places and moments that shape our lives. Whether painting a landscape, creating a portrait, or taking on a commissioned piece, her goal is to create work that feels personal, evocative, and lasting.
